iOS 5 on iPhone 4 hands on

Now, after 4 days with iOS 5 on my iPhone 4 here are few conclusions from the big upgrade.
First of all we can say for sure that apple made a huge way comparing to its competition in the market and now they have few more features that were missed in the older version.

iMessage
With iMessage you seamlessly create and send text messages without installing any third party app such as what’s up messenger,etc. iMessage works very fast and have a nice notification that says if the nessage was delivered to It’s recipient.

text formatting
When writing mails the keyboard now supports few basic formatting Iike bold,italic… For the fonts.

notification center
The notification center apple implemented in the new iOS is very basic and supports limited options for viewing notification : on top of the screen,popup(like the old style) and none. But the fact that we now have that notification is an upgrade.

camera new features.
Now, with the same box you get extra features to enhance photo shootings. You now can remove red eye from photos,enhance photo colors,crop photos, also you can use the physical button of the volume to take photos

lock screen access
Why apple provided such a limited features for the lock screen ? Double tapping on the home button allows you to access the iPhone camera with one click. I expected that things like lock screen widgets will be available, but maybe in the next version ?!

iCloud.
Ok we don’t need to talk much about iCloud since its big update is all over the blogs talking about it. Simply we can backup all our staffs from our devices including iMac and Mac books to the cloud and restore them each time we need to recover.

photo streaming
With photo streaming you just synchronized with pictures you take on each device. Allowing you to take a picture here, and view it on other devices. This feature is very nice but im not sure how many people would like to stay synchronized this way.

To summarize these facts I can tell that apple made a nice upgrade but not more than that.

Picasa 3 Beta – like this feature

Well, Picasa 3 beta is already ready for download and i must tell that there are 2 Most liked things in this update :

1. Picasa Viewer : Works fast, click on an image and navigate throu the photos in the current folder.
2. Picasa Web Albums uploader. I like this Button : ” Dont eat my bandwidth”

so if you are ready to try it , i had to tell these two features i really liked.

5 Things that missing me in Google Chrome

Page Rank information
SEOQuake add-on for SEO information on webpages
As a WEB Programmmer i would love to have the add-on Firebug.
A search box for search on Google( this is funny cause im using the chrome as a whole search box)
Google buttons for personal buttons i created .

Google Chrome – Where to go

Hi all
Since the Last 48 hours , when Google chrome web browser announced, millions went out there to take it to a test drive.

I can tell my position as a web developer that this browser is the fastest ever.

I am using it since the last 40 hours as my default browser and no crash yet!

Also i really liked the Task manager which can keep you on rails with memory management.

My Ajax websites also were examined and alll working well. a few minor problems were detected like :

Google Docs : on Excel when trying to insert a cell , from right click , right click doesnt work, but i ithink i saw an open problem for this issue in the Wiki page.

iPhone 3G is here

Apple have released iPhone 3G, this friday, thousands of gadgets lovers waited to buy and even sign for the AT&T contracts of 2 years plan.

So whats so new in iPhone 3G ? well not much comparing to the noise that its making on the market and comparing to its 1st generation of mobile phone iPhone 1.

The major news are that it is with a high speed internet support if you have a 3G network service, and also the built-in GPS anthenna that comes with it out of the box.

Also the iPhone 3G is a little outside differ than the 1st one, in its back , it is black.

Google starts to index flash websites

Google announced in their webmasters blog that they are cooporating with ADOBE to have the flash player plugin support google indexing engine. so any text within the flash movie will be exposed to the search bot.

What about movies ? photo galleries ? those are not yet supported ..
